I can not afford drugs by XxchantellexX I can not afford drugs by XxchantellexX
Yesh. My little novels and such are way too much. They would cost as much as one pill costs to get high on. ^.^ Besides i would rather be addicted to my books than something that could harm me or harm others through me.

you may use but please give cred.
i did all the drawing and the stamp base.

I'd rather use the money for important repairs, other things I like or other important things.

Eh. When not using it on important things I would like to use it on something that is pleasurably and beneficial to me like books. But each to their own. You have a fair point.

If I spent as much money on pills as I did on books or at Barnes and Noble, I would be seeing rainbows 24/7.

yeah, i would rather spend my money on books more than anything else.

my family is lucky if i take out five dollars for birthday presents for them!
i do not want to mess with pills.
especially since i also spend money on DVD's and they are also expensive.

then again the idea of heading to a discount book store is never out of the question...

Haha I know. I love books as well and I would rather spend my money on them. In fact there are many more things that I would rather spend my money on. I don't even want to spend my money on prescription drugs even though I know I have to.

Ah, but you can go to the library and rent the books for free! :D
Then, you can have both the books and the drugs! Problem solved.

XD What if the library doesn't have the book you want to read. Sure they might have the best sellers, but they don't have everything. O.o

This is true, but then there's the magic of ILL. (inter-library loan).

Really? It's a great thing. Usually, if you can't find a book at your own library, you can ask the librarian to see if it's at different libraries in the county. If you are a student in public school, your school librarian can look at other school libraries' books.

If you're a university student, you can do ILL with other universities your home college is in a program with. Pretty nifty.

Usually, antiquarian books are not available in any of the above, but that's what thrift stores and secondhand reading/charity stores are for. :D I once found a 1890's edition of Victor Hugo's work at a secondhand reading store. :D

I love books. I don't like "bestsellers" either, but that actually seems to be the predominant book at bookstores around here. Libraries usually carry the kinds of books I am interested in (history/literature/psych), and if they don't, I can usually find them secondhand (esp. literature). Failing that, there's always amazon!

So, I can haz books and drugs. 8D

I don't know. That person is known for being a troll and a funny one at that. Though, I wouldn't even have the money to purchase drugs if they were a buck, because anime and manga cost too much.

i appreciate your sentiment, though you might want to keep an eye on your anime and manga intake.

Don't worry. I got the stamps confused. (this one is about books.) I love anime and manga, but I also love cartoons and novels. I'm just not much on real as in real actors unless its a movie. I can never get into reality shows, or shows involving actual actors. Unless it artistic, scientific, or cop shows. ( You gotta love Abby, Ducky, and Bones. <3)

i can very much understand that. live action television in this country is very poorly done.
i thought the walking dead was very interesting though. good horror
and some of the older sci-fi shows from the mid 90's are really enjoyable (xena, star trek, stargate, babylon5, etc)

What kind of pills are you talking about? I could get percocets for four bucks a pill where I live. I could get somas(a type of muscle relaxer that FUCKS YOU UP if you eat after taking it) for like two dollars a pill.

Pills aren't that expensive, friend. So long as you don't fuck up and become an addict like my brother, you can party without breaking your wallet.

However, a paperback Stephen King novel in my area is anywhere from seven to fifteen dollars. I bought a book of H.P. Lovecraft stories for almost twenty bucks with birthday money when I was seventeen. I still have it. It's paperback as well. God help you if you want to get a hardback. I bought a hardback copy of the first volume of the comic adaptation of The Stand because that was all they had. Cost me forty dollars.

Seriously, I love to read, but the way (legal) prices are these days, it'd be cheaper and more economical to just take a bunch of drugs and write a novel yourself.

I mean, I do that anyway, but still...

but still. my point was to stay away from drugs. not everyone that gets on drugs can write books. plus illegal drugs just mess you up. not only that if you get that one bad pill you are dead. dead. does anyone want that? no not unless they are suicidal.

I don't really mess with pills. I tend to smoke pot more often. However, when I do take a pill I usually make sure it's safe to take beforehand.

you can never be entirely sure a pill that isn't prescribed for you is safe. especially if it was home made.

Home made? I've never taken a home made pill. I didn't even know those things existed. I mean taking pills prescribed to somebody who needs them, but not real badly, and researching the dosage beforehand. Every time I take a drug, I always research it first to see how it might affect me. If the cons outweigh the pros, I put it aside and just take a drug I'm familiar with.

The only drugs that I put in my body regardless of my health are cigarettes, and that's simple addiction.
